NEW SINGLE

HEAD DOWN

George, Dan, Matt, and Rob, four lifelong friends from Birmingham, UK, make music built on connection, emotion, and a shared history that spans teenage rehearsal rooms to viral tracks and late-night studio sessions. Together, they are ORKAH, a band born from a shared love of songwriting and gigging in pre-social-media venues thick with smoke, noise, and a blatant disregard for health and safety.

Life took them each in different directions, near misses with major labels, years spent abroad, but a spontaneous living room performance, a now-retired label exec, and a breakout track (“Maisie and Neville”) brought the project back to life. The quartet reconnected, found their sound with producer Fred Cox (Kasabian, Rag’n’Bone Man, and James Morrison), and are now focused on crafting music that feels honest, both sonically and emotionally.

Their songs lean into alternate tunings, unexpected instrumentation, and a songwriting process that prioritizes feel over formula. The result? Music that moves between nostalgia and catharsis, with lyrical vulnerability and melodic punch. Live, they create moments that are intimate, connective, and powerful, whether with longtime fans or first-time listeners.

Their mission is simple: write songs that matter, play them for people who want to feel something, and let music guide them on a journey to see the world.
